About this deal

The process of coating iron plates with tin or coating of a soldering iron with solder before its use is known as tinning. Any type of metal and mainly sheet metal is made of anti-corrosive by tinning. These metals are washed and put in acids of water and salt. Work this into your drybrush of choice and then apply it across the texture of your miniature using slightly circular, rotating motions. This technical paint provides an oxidation special effect that is best applied to metals like the areas around detailing on armour. This special effect will make your miniature look like it has been weathered and damaged by the elements.

After that, it is washed with water and dipped in a molted zinc solution, and taken out. For shedding the extra zin, wire brush or wire rollers are typically used. These kinds of sheets and jobs are called G.I. sheets and G.I. bolts, respectively.

How to Use Citadel Technical Paint – Nihilakh Oxide

This technical paint provides a corrosion special effect that is best applied to metals. This special effect will make your miniature look like it has been weathered and damaged by the elements. This technical paint is gritty and messy, so don’t be afraid to get it on your hands to make it look natural. This is very important this time around, as we’ll be using a thinner mixture of Dirty Down’s rust, so we’ll need that brown base coat. Step 3 – Shake it Off Up Moving around those weathering effects really helps make a grimy, well-worn texture to the final product. You’ll be left with a very realistic rust effect that takes full advantage of your model’s texture and explores a whole spectrum of worn-out, grimy colours. The @gobble_inz Method 2: The Mournfang-Typhus Method Citadel Technical Paint is a range of water-based, non-toxic paints that can be used to add special effects to plastic models. The paint is designed to add special effects to your model, including weathering, chipping, rusting, and other damage effects.

The ugly strokes are caused by my useless brush, as it turned out I had already abused this particular brush sometime earlier to apply PVA and never got around to fully cleaning it. This was not beneficial for the bristles. Shrugging I waited about ten minutes and drybrushed my blob with Necron Compound (it was in use at the time). This is the end result. This paint isn’t as heavily textured, so will give the impression that some areas are more worn than others. Step 3 – The Browning Typhus Corrosion– A paint designed to create corrosion and rust effects that work exceptionally and can be used on any model but works incredibly well on models with metal parts.

It is often used in the automotive industry to resist oxidation and corrosion of the metal. The zinc plating process is used in the application of vehicle boards and other metal parts such as nuts and bolts, fasteners, and automotive parts. #14 Cadmium PlatingDuring the exposure of carbon steel to concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrogen bubbles cleave the iron sulfate film from the pipe wall, forming hydrogen grooving. Rhodium plating is a corrosive prevention method in which the metal is coated in a thin layer of rhodium for added strength and shine. This process can also resist scratches on the metal surface and provides a shiny appearance. Next, very carefully apply some Vallejo Rust Model Wash around the edges of some of these more yellowed areas. Once your model is primed and ready to go, cover some of the areas with Citadel’s Typhus Corrosion.
