About this deal

I think one of the most unfair things that happened in my life was strict TV watching guidelines in my house. In addition to the live shows, Rik and Ade performed a one-off set at the Peter Cook Posthumous Tribute in 2002.

These sort of people need to feel important and probably love the moment they spot something un-PC so they can demand that edits be made. Currently it's the only theatrical movie from the year (that isn't brand new) that I liked which still doesn't have any kind of bluray announcement. In response, Mayall’s character Richie responds, shocked: ‘Eddie, a) the Queen doesn’t have jugs, she’s royalty and b) if she did have jugs she certainly wouldn’t get them out on a fiver - she’d save them for the fifty. The show's original working title was Your Bottom, for the humour of people having to say "I saw 'Your Bottom' on television last night", before it was shortened because Mayall said they "liked the shape of the word. The second act reuses a gag from The Young Ones episode " Bomb" when a large red atomic bomb appears on the stage which neither character acknowledge for quite some time into the performance. On 4 April 1994, all six single Bottom video releases were re-released as three "complete" double VHS releases. Every episode from all three series of the anarchic, violent sitcom, following the fortunes of Richie Richard (Rik Mayall) and Eddie Hitler (Adrian Edmondson), two grotesque losers living in a squalid flat in London and trying to make sense of their pointless existence.

Edmondson would go on to say that one of the reasons he pulled out of the project was because Mayall was "not there" during writing sessions, and struggled to work with him. It’s a special poster that they put together after the tour to celebrate the 100 dates they did, only a few were made. Little Miss Jocelyn Series 2 was so poorly edited for no reason and the bonus 7th episode is in fact just sketches cut from the other episodes but there a re still missing sketches. Interesting given his own conflicted relationship with Oxford University (he went there and is a a stereotypical Oxford product, but criticises the university in the press, and has forced devastating cuts on the university system at large). The initial release of the SEASON 3 AND 4 set had season 3 episodes cut by 5 minutes each, while one of the specials was cut by 8 minutes. Although watching this collection, I was pleasantly surprised to realise just how much of Bottom I had missed when originally broadcast.
